Parent Child Swim Lessons (6 months - 3 years)This 30-minute class introduces safety awareness and provides an excellent opportunity to develop pre-swimming skills in a fun atmosphere. Parent child classes are geared towards children ages 6 months to 36 months.
For children 6-18 months. Children participate with a parent; focus is on orientation and adjustment. PERCH For children 19-35 months. Children participate with a parent; focus is on orientation and adjustment. Preschool Swim Lessons (3 - 5 years)We help children build elementary swimming skills while teaching them safety along the way. Children are placed with our trained instructors based on their skill levels. Register Online For beginners who are leery of the water and cannot swim on their own. Children will learn submersion, blowing bubbles, kicking and floating on stomach and back. EEL For swimmers who can float on their front and back and can comfortably put their face in the water and can swim a short distance without support. Children begin to learn over arm paddle stroke, breathing, and swimming on their back. RAYS For swimmers who can travel 15 feet without support on their front and back. Children begin to work on stroke development and increasing endurance. This class is combined with Starfish. STARFISH Our most advanced preschool class reviews and improves stroke skills on front, back and side while building endurance while our instructors teach them to tread water. This class is combined with Rays. Youth Swim Lessons (6 - 12 years)For our older swimmers, we focus on endurance, pool and personal safety, skill development and lifesaving techniques. Skills are assessed and children are placed with instructors in the appropriate age groups.
Register Online This is our beginner level for those who are uncomfortable in the water or haven't ever taken swim lessons. We teach basic water skills including floating and kicking. Swimmers in this level require help from an Instructional Flotation Device or assistance from their instructor at all times. GUPPY We help swimmers begin to refine their personal safety skills and strokes while they increase their endurance level. We slowly introduce deeper water so that swimmers can increase their independence. MINNOW Swimmers learn to perfect the front crawl and backstroke while we introduce them to the breaststroke. FISH Our intermediate class in which swimmers continue to work on floating, treading and Instructional Flotation Device skills while learning new skills like the butterfly stroke and competitive turns and starts. FLYING FISH One of our most advanced levels in which swimmers continue to work on their strokes and turns, incorporating rescue and snorkeling skills. Swimmers should be able to swim all 5 strokes (front crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, backstroke and elementary backstroke) for a minimum of 100 yds. with open turns, swim the butterfly stroke for 25-50 yds. with or without fins. This class is combined with Shark. SHARK Our most advanced level in which swimmers continue to work on their strokes and turns, while focusing on competitive swimming and increasing endurance. Swimmers should be able to swim all 5 strokes (front crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, backstroke and elementary backstroke) for a minimum of 100 yds. with open turns, swim the butterfly stroke for 25 yds. and swim a 200 yd, individual medley with proper starts and turns. PREREQUISITE: Must be able to swim 25m in breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke without stopping. This class is combined with Flying Fish. SPLASH (Kindergarten - 6th Grade)Over 5 days—featuring 45 minutes daily swim instruction—kids learn to be water safe and basic swimming skills in a great program during Spring Break. This is an inexpensive introduction to swimming and water safety. Our trained staff will group swimmers by current ability (non-swimmer, beginner, advanced) within each session so everyone has a chance to improve. Private Swim Lessons (Ages 3+ years)Private swim lessons are for those individuals who wish to learn to swim at their own pace, or those who want to work on their technique. Classes have a one-on-one instruction ratio. Skills include basic water acclimation, floating, treading, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, diving and much more.
