The joining fee is a non-refundable, one-time entry fee that is charged to all new Y memberships or memberships that have lapsed more than 30 days. Also, Locker Rentals are an additional $16 per month.

The Y is For Everyone

We believe that communities are only successful if they give everyone the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. The Y's Annual Giving Campaign raises funds to provide program and membership assistance. We also offer flexible membership rates based on household income. Our goal is that no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Read more about our financial assistance.


A.W.A.Y. Program

Our A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcomed At the YMCA) Program allows you to visit other Ys around the country while you travel, just make sure to bring your Y membership card. Need to find a Y? Find a Y here!


Visit for a Day

Not a Y member yet but want to try us out? Purchase a day pass and visit the Y for a day! Those who use day passes are allowed a maximum three visits per year. The fees paid may be used towards membership if used within a 30 day period. Also, day passes do not include lap swim and/or pick-up recreational basketball which are reserved for Y members only. Depending on member usage, day passes may not be sold during the months of November through March.


Spread the word

You are welcome to bring guests with you to enjoy the Y. As a membership organization, our first obligation is to our members and ensure the value of their Y membership. We welcome you to bring guests with just a few restrictions, including:

  • A current Y member (age 18 years +) may accompany 1 guest to the Y.

  • Any guest under the age of 18 must be with an adult at all times.

  • Guests are allowed a maximum of 1 free guest visits with a member after which they must join or pay a daily fee.

  • All guests must present a valid photo ID.


Military Outreach Initiative

The YMCA of Elkhart County is proud to be a participant in the Military Outreach Initiative. Deployment can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s servicemen and women and their families. In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel to give them extra support during this difficult period. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.
