Welcome to the

YMCA of Elkhart County

The YMCA of Elkhart County strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

NEWS FROM THE Y
Here at the Y, two of our focus areas are for youth development and healthy living. Our competitive team sports embody both of these principles. Through physical activity and self-discipline, our Elky Seahorse swim team allows those who participate to learn positive, useful skills that will lead to brighter futures. This past December our swim team traveled to the Ft. Wayne YMCA to participate in the FWCY Holiday Invitational. Our swimmers took home 3rd place in the event. Way to go Seahorses!

Our YMCA of Elkhart County Swim Team has had a strong presence and tradition in Elkhart’s competitive swimming community for many years. We are committed to offering a quality swim team with emphasis on teaching the value of competition through teamwork, sportsmanship and doing one’s best. Our Elky Seahorse program strives to offer a well-rounded, values-centered program for every member, from the youngest and newest members to our veteran swimmers. It's our goal to be the best swim team in our community and to set the standard for competitive swimming in our area!

If you happen to come by our pool around 6:00 pm in the evenings you will see our swimmers hard at work during practice.
