Welcome to the
The YMCA of Elkhart County strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.
With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

They will be teaching youth about healthy eating, how much fat is in food, and what not to eat.
On Tuesdays girls ages 7 to 12 years old will meet and on Thursdays the 13 to 18 year old ladies will have class.
We believe it's extremely important to introduce our youth to the importance of a healthy diet and eating habits. Another one of our focus areas is For Healthy living and we try to incorporate it in everything we do.
What a great way to help youth start out on the right foot, by teaching them healthy habits and food awareness while they're still young. This gives them the opportunity to make informed and more educated choices about their futures.
We are very excited about this program and hope it will changes lives in a postive, healthy way! Elkhart General has experienced, trained staff who are doing a great job! Our goal is to make sure every child that walks through our doors is given a change to learn about nutrition and healthy choices.
After all, our Wanke Youth Center is FREE to any youth who walk through its doors. This is made possible by our many valued donors who give annually to our Community First Annual Support Campaign. Our Y is a non-profit organization with a mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Without your help we couldn't offer these life building programs like our Wanke Youth Center.
When you GIVE you can see your money at work everyday when you walk in our doors. What better gift could you give than the same opportunities you had to another child?
